John Skilling

Royale Studio - John Skilling in JOS1

John Skilling was one of Royale's early stars, of slightly boyish in appearance with a deceptively muscular physique and impressive shoulder development. His solo sets include some exceptionally sensual, nude poses (see above). As with other early models, Royale did not supply background information about him, although solo set JOS2 might imply he had a naval connection. He returned to pose again for Hussar a few years later.

John appeared alongside Fred Collins in all of his non-solo sets.
In Football Ballet, he is paired with Fred throughout,
and ends up tied to him in a suggestive pose in Part 2.

John as a RN Sailor in tropical whites and tight shorts.

Sadly, the Archive only has one image of the 12 in the set.

This image appears in a Royale advertisement in Man Alive No2 (ca Nov '58), labelled as 'BT' rather than 'JOS'. This may be a misattribution to Bruce Thomas, who appeared as a Royale footballer in the same issue.

The Storyettes

Soldier - Sailor (1958) with Fred Collins, 

John plays a Sailor in tight bell-bottoms and shorts.

They swap uniforms, fight and are restrained.

Football Ballet (FOBA) Parts 1 & 2 (1958)

John is a member of an unruly football team. 

He appears shirtless in tight shorts and is caned

before being despatched with Fred to prison.
