We only have the Catalogue thumbnail for this set out of 12 images published by Royale. This
picture of one man bullying another doesn't seem to be particularly
representative of a set that's entitled 'Mates', but light-heartedness
was the (politically safer) norm in the 50s as reflected in Bob Mizer's frivolous kidnappings, imprisonments and slavery at
AMG.
The Catalogue description (above) also references ERTR-1 but is vague about the contents of the set, it is somewhat suggestive of an assembly of oddments or out-takes.

ERTR-5, 'Mates' can be dated to Aug 1959 when it was mentioned in 'Man Alive' No 6,
it was included in the next release of the Royale Catalogue, list IX, October 1959.
