Royale Studio's photo storyette called 'The Thief'
has an exciting bondage storyline and sexy publicity images.
'Thief' is the story of a footballer, Ron Fenn, who disturbs a locker room thief, played by David Trood. Fenn captures the thief, ties him up and calls the police.

(It was always labelled as 'The Thief' in Royale's ads).
This was Ron's second storyette, published around July 1959 (based on mentions in Royale ads in both 'Manual' magazine, Vol 1 No 4 and 'Tomorrow's Man' for that month.
Royale promoted it in their ads for a full year and featured two images in their Catalogue, rather than the usual single thumbnail. They were clearly proud of it, so it is surprising that these Catalogue images are the only ones we have for 'Thief'. They are sexy, fight images with both characters clad in Royale's trademark, tight shorts.
