Beresford Morris (Dolphin Studio) 1961

Jamaican, Beresford Morris was a top amateur body builder, one of many who posed for Basil Clavering. His physique speaks for itself and he figured prominently in the Mr Universe standings every year between 1960 and 1965. He just missed winning Mr Britain in 1968 and 1969 but won some regional UK competitions outright.

This photograph, attributed to the Dolphin offshoot of Royale, appears to be one of the intriguing, outdoor locations these studios occasionally used, or an unusually elaborate, movie-style set.

Beresford shared a solo set with Norman Walters (BEM/NOW) 

in the Jan 1960 Royal Catalogue, but posing separately, not together (so-called duals).

He also appears in the storyette 'Shanghai'd Sailor' with Peter George

This frontal  nude image was probably taken by John Barrington,
it reveals a model with an adventurous nature.

He has a inscrutable expression here which shows his suitability for the role of enslaving Peter George in 'Shanghai'd Sailor', but the twinkle in his eye reveals a playful side as well.
