Royale Studio - The Stolen Motorcycle

 

This picture from 'The Stolen Motorcycle' is a joke in itself, especially with no motorcycle in sight in any of the images. My caption draws out the subtle eroticism and in-jokes to be found in some Royale Studio images. And w ho's to say what happened when the studio lights were dimmed?

Ian Oliver and Cliff Smith bend over forwards to entertain us.

I was quite pleased with the colouring of the jeans, but couldn't persuade the 'AI' to colour Cliff's pants a different colour, something like khaki. I made this compromise by marrying two different efforts together. Grey would have been a decent compromise, but for some reason it would only do the top half!

Royale Studio - Soldier-Sailor 14

The Royale Studio Soldier-Sailor storyette has now been transferred to the Royale Archive Gallery with enhanced imagery and updated commentary. This interesting and popular set seems to have been a test bed for Clavering's long-cherished ideas about marrying beefcake to military images.
